Hey friends, thank you for coming by again to read this long over due blog. Life got in the way of all the blogging, its the night before camp today and I thought I’d update you guys on how freedom walk went seeing all the support you gave us.
The event was wow! I don’t even know where to start but God had been faithful to us, all went according to plan and we can only thank God for that. We started the event with a Young Life club and prayer time as Samaritans Trust in the morning, and after our activities there we started off to town with a stop at Nancholi filling station where we had an amazing time sharing the message of freedom aka the gospel. We praise God for making us bold and helping to share the gospel without fear but with all grace and love. We then started off to town where we stopped at old town hall to pray specifically for this country seeing how we are 50 now but still not financially independent and more importantly Spiritually free. We wrapped the walk at Museums of Malawi Mandala house where we prayed and shared our experiences for the day. I just want to thank everyone who was part of this event and supported us in any way possible, thank you so much, it was amazing.
BUT if I’m honest the journey really has just began, it didn’t end at museums of Malawi, the praying and sharing should continue. There is no way we are going to have young people who are truly free if we don’t go out and share the Gospel. As we established in the earlier posts “Freedom has a name and the name is Jesus” that is what it means to have freedom. “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” Romans 10:17 (NIV).
As I mentioned the Blantyre team is heading to camp tomorrow (August 8), may you continue to pray for us and everyone of the teenagers that are going to learn what it means to have freedom. The journey continues, Walk, pray and share with us.
