When Chaos Means Order

Ever been in one of those situations where everything seems to be going in the opposite direction to what you would have it go? Yeah me too.

For the most part I am a very organised and planned person, I try to plan my day and my week before hand so that everything goes smoothly. But the reality of life is, it doesnt always go as planned, in fact there are times when things go in the opposite direction. Of late a couple of things have not been going how i planned they would and strangely I am okay with that; after freaking out ofcourse.

A couple of weeks ago I read a post on desiringgod.org that explained how God is involved in every detail of our lives by using Joseph’s life as an illustration. Since then it has been of encouragement to me, that now when things dont go as I want them to go, I know that God is still involved.

In every little thing God is involved, would you take a moment and think of all the things that have gone wrong in your life just this month? God is still involved even in those. And guess what?! He is using it all for your good. Even the bad things work for our good.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

So even when things seem to be going wrong in your books just know and trust that this was always how it was meant to be in God’s plan. The only time where chaos is actually order, when falling apart means falling into place.

“Even our disorienting disappointments and failures in making a name for ourselves have redemptive purposes. God loves us and knows what is best for us and in mercy he will not allow any achievement that we pursue for our own glory to rob us of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus” – Jon Bloom

Be encouraged,
Grace and Peace,
Dee.
